"Money can't buy happiness but it can put you on a sailboat; and that's a really good start."
Eric began sailing in Chicago, IL as a crew member racing large boats. He was immediately enamored with the concept of sailing and impressed by those with the skill required to do it well. He took every opportunity to learn more and within three years of that first sail was certified as a keelboat instructor.
He spent the next two summers teaching sailing during the week, racing on weekends, and pleasure sailing whenever he found free time.
Eric grew up a frequent visitor to Cape Cod even living in Dennis one summer to work as a lifeguard on the town beaches. In 2010 he moved to the Cape as a year-round resident. Shortly after that move he completed the captain's certification course at Mass Maritime Academy. Eric has earned a 50 Ton Master License as well as Red Cross: CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding certifications

Berit
Berit is a frequent guest on all sails. She works in education as an instructional coach after 16 years in the classroom. She is great with kids (and adults alike). Berit started sailing when she met Eric in 2016. She instantly fell in love with the sensation of the water against the bow and felt the 'heartbeat of the Earth'. It didn't hurt, either, that the captain was very charming. Since that first sail, Berit has become a competent helping hand including completing her first race (taking first place despite an impromptu thunderstorm).
